BeidPrep 2.0 Early Access: please read before you download
BeidPrep 2.0 is an early-access beta. It isn't finished: it may contain errors and incomplete features, and it may behave differently from the final release. You use it at your own risk.
Free during the beta. Until 31 December 2026 you get the Pro and Pro+ tools. From 1 January 2027 it runs as the Free tier only. On 31 March 2027 the beta ends. To keep using BeidPrep after that, load the free licence file I publish at beidprep.beidersim.com; it keeps the Free tier working until the end date stated in it. From 27 February 2027, BeidPrep reminds you of this each time it starts. Your saved work stays yours, and models built with Pro or Pro+ features still open.
The beta can change or stop. I may change, pause or end the beta, or any part of it, at any time. If I have to stop it, BeidPrep tells you through its status check, and you can save your work first.
You remain the engineer. BeidPrep helps you build and review simulation models; it doesn't decide whether they are right. Check every model, deck, mesh, material, load and setting, and check every result before you rely on it. Simulation results approximate reality and can differ substantially from it. Don't use BeidPrep where an error could lead to death, injury or serious damage, unless you verify every result independently.
Comparisons with tests. Where BeidPrep or this website says that a model agrees with published tests (for example, the SPH bird), that describes agreement with those tests, under their stated conditions, only. It is not a guarantee for your structure or your load case, and it does not replace certification testing. Every result must be checked by a qualified engineer before it is used.
Using your results. You may use the results you produce in your own work, including reports and models you deliver to your customers, on your own responsibility. You may not resell or redistribute, as a product of your own, the models or parameter sets that the Pro+ tools generate (such as the SPH bird).
Solvers are separate products. BeidPrep works with OpenCourant (the continuation of OpenRadioss), OptiStruct, Moldflow and other programs, but doesn't include them. The installer can download OpenCourant for you from its official source. These programs belong to their owners and come under their own licences. I'm not affiliated with the OpenCourant project, Altair, Siemens, Autodesk or Anthropic.
Feedback. I'm grateful for every report. If you send me feedback, I may use it freely. Please don't send confidential information or client models.
No warranty, no liability. The beta is provided as is, with all its faults and without any warranty. I don't guarantee that a deck BeidPrep writes will be accepted by a solver or will give correct results. As far as the law allows, I am not liable for any decision, design, product or damage that results from using BeidPrep or its results, including the Pro+ tools and the models they generate. Any liability the law does not allow me to exclude is limited as set out in the licence agreement. I'm not obliged to provide support or updates during the beta.
This is a summary. The End-User Licence Agreement you accept when you install BeidPrep is what applies.
