I built BeidPrep so that your work stays on your computer.
BeidPrep itself
BeidPrep sends nothing about you, your computer or your models. The program has no tracking and no usage statistics, and no computer ID or licence information leaves your computer.
The one exception is the status check described in the licence agreement (section 4.7). When your computer is online, BeidPrep reads one small file from beidersim.com when it starts and while it is open. The request carries no licence, computer or user information. Like any website, my server sees your internet (IP) address. If the file can't be reached, BeidPrep keeps working.
If you choose to download the OpenCourant solver during installation, the installer fetches it from OpenCourant's own download site, which sees your IP address like any website.
The free licence file is loaded on your computer only. Nothing is sent.
Report a problem opens a message in your own e-mail program. Nothing is sent until you press Send, and you decide what to attach.
The Claude connection is optional and off unless you turn it on. When you use it, information from your model goes to Anthropic through your own account, under their terms.
This website
Sign-up. When you sign up, your e-mail address is stored with Hostinger Reach, the e-mail service I use. I use it only to send you the download link and BeidPrep news. I don't sell it or share it.
Visitor statistics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is anonymous and sets no cookies, so it can't recognise you from one visit to the next.
Downloads. The installer is served by Cloudflare, and I count how many times it is downloaded. Like any server, Cloudflare keeps its usual technical request logs, such as the IP address and the time of each request.
Unsubscribing
Every e-mail I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also write to me, and I'll remove your address.
